YOSHIDA was born in December 1937 in
In
1968-1970, he stayed over a year in Antarctica as a member of the Japanese
team, and since then, he concentrated in research of
Presently,
he is serving as the President of the Gondwana Institute for Geology and
Environment, President of the Gondwana Research Group and the Emeritus
President of the International
Association for Gondwana Research. Very recently in 2010 he has been
nominated as the first Japanese the
Emeritus Professor of the Tribhuvan University of Nepal.
